It’s not everyday you see someone walking around Geraldton in a Stormtrooper costume, but as part of the 501st Legion, Scott Loxley will dub the costume and make his way to Geraldton early next week.
Scott is walking around Australia solo, fully decked out in Stormtrooper armour to raise money for the Monash Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. With a total of 15,000kms walking, Scott is set to finish his journey in March 2015.
With the aim to raise $100,000, Scott has already been walking 119 days, leaving Melbourne, then through Tasmania, South Australia, up to Geraldton then will make his way to Northampton, Broome, across the Northern Territory, then to Queensland and ending back in Melbourne.
And in amongst his travels, Scott is currently on his way from Perth to Geraldton!
He hit Cataby yesterday and is set to make his grand entrance in Geraldton next week.
Athletes Foot Geraldton have come on board to fit and supply him with a pair of shoes of his choice once he arrives, Woolworths have offered a donation and local business G-Force are also helping to raise awareness and funds.
George Scicluna has also agreed to donate all the charity collections from this Saturday’s Sun City Cinema to Scott’s cause and there will be some Stormtroopers at this weekend’s film to help raise funds.
There will be a welcome for Scott at Athletes Foot, a couple of days after he gets into Geraldton to also drum up some donations.
If you think you or your business could donate to this amazing cause call Tony on 0408 906 710

Everything Geraldton will let the public know online when he makes his way into town. Let’s get behind this great cause!
