Midwest fishing report by Tackleworld Country

Abrolhos Islands

Southern group is fishing well with Baldchin to 7kg and Coral trout to 5kg, yellow fin Tuna and Mackerel are still entertaining anglers willing to throw lures at them. The most productive lure has been the Duo Press bait.

BEACHES

Dhu fish and Tailor can be found from Flat rock right through to Southgate reefs. Tailor,  Mulloway  and big Yellow fin and Whiting can be found at Coronation and Buller river.

RIVERS

Greenough river is the place to be at the moment, as the river mouth  has been open for nearly 3 weeks now. Big yellow fin whiting taking Gulp minnows and surface lures. Bream are also around in big numbers taking lures with Duo bivi vibes and spearhead ryuki, Mangrove jacks have been caught on soft plastic and Mullet, and Mulloway can be found on the north side of the river mouth.
