Spate of drink driving offences

Geraldton police have been busy with drink driving offenders over the past few days.

A 53-year-old Wonthella man was caught driving under the influence with a reading of 0.168.

His licence was immediately disqualified and he was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence and will face Geraldton Magistrates Court at a later date.

A 23-year-old male from Spalding was driving a Holden Commodore under the influence of alcohol, when he was stopped in Wonthella. The male was a provisionary driver.

He was conveyed to Geraldton Police Station where he provided a final reading of 0.067.

He was charged with excess 0.05% and will face Geraldton Magistrates Court

In other drink driving offences a 26-year-old male and a 46-year-old female were also charged

The 46-year-old female provided a final reading of 0.056 and was charged issued with an infringement for excess 0.05%.

The 26-year-old male had a final reading of 0.152.

His licence was immediately disqualified and he was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence and will face Geraldton Magistrates Court at a later date.
