Midwest Fishing Report by Tackleworld Geraldton
/All the rock walls around Geraldton are holding good numbers of herring yellow tail and Tailor there has also a few big sharks lurking around there are still reports of coral species fish getting caught.
OFFSHORE
Dhu fish are around in big numbers around king reef pensioners bank and African reef, Samson fish and amber jacks 13mile west. The south islands is fishing well with cobia to the 20kg mark tuna mackerel Samson fish aswell as amber jacks, big snapper to the 8kg mark and plenty of dhue fish, in the deeper waters west of the islands there has been Dolphin fish big ruby's and hapuku.
BEACHES
Mulloway have been landed at sunset beach and Greenough tailor are come from Champion Bay along the reefs and big yellow fin whiting can be found in the sand patches around the same areas.
RIVERS
Bream have been very active of later and are being caught up river and at the mouth the river has had a good amount or run of from the rain so we expect the fish to be red hot in the coming weeks.
