ACDC is back in business with a new program
/ACDC have launched a new program of workshops and exhibitions!
ACDC stands for Arts and Cultural Development Council of Geraldton and you will find them at 33 Marine Terrace, next to Salt Dish Café. They have a fabulous gallery space with a whole program of first class exhibitions already booked for 2014. But they also offer great arts activities for the whole community.
Arts Development Manager Raina Savage said despite some funding issues last year, ACDC is very much in business and have some great events and activities lined up for 2014.
"We are very grateful to have received funding through the City of Greater-Geraldton's Community Grants Scheme to subsidise the cost of community art classes," she said.
"We have some of the Midwest's best artists offering their services for community classes. Our popular Tuesday night life drawing class is back, as well as a painting class on Thursday evenings, and a Craft Club on Thursday mornings which is suitable for all abilities.”
These classes will commence during the first week of March.
Costs are truly affordable – it is only $10 for members for a painting or drawing class – and even less for craft classes - so for anyone who has wanted to try their hand at acrylics or water colour, learn to draw or make some wonderful craft pieces – now is the time to have a go!

Painting classes- Thursday nights are $80 (Members) $130 (Non Members) for 8 weeks;
