Water leak at Court House causes extensive damage

A water leak has caused extensive damage to a room at the Geraldton Court House overnight.

Employees discovered the damage this morning which is said to be from a suspected water leak from an upstairs toilet.

Parts of the ceiling in the jury assembly room have caved in as well as extensive water damage to the carpet.

Plumbers and Electricians have been at the site this morning.

It won’t affect any court proceedings and the full cost of the damage is unknown.
