Changes at Everything Geraldton and Introducing Everything Bunbury

By Jason Smith We are very pleased today to announce the official launch of Everything Bunbury, and I'd also like to take this moment to fill you in on some exciting changes at Everything Geraldton.

An update on Everything Geraldton

During 2013, I found that Everything Geraldton had grown larger than what I was able to handle alone. I decided to licence out the advertising to a third party, and employed some staff to handle some of the work load. But to grow the company I realised I was going to need further expertise and assistance.

I'm pleased to announce that Peter Brown has joined the company as both an investor and partner. Up until 5 years ago, Peter was the CEO at Westnet. Peter is a Geraldton local, born and bred in here, and involved in his family's business Mitchell and Brown. His expertise is already proving to be a great asset, and he's enjoying having something to sink his teeth into.

We decided to form a new company called Just Everything, and have moved into offices located in the City Hive building at 184 Marine Terrace.

As you may have already read, we were proud to announce the hiring of Peta Kingdon to handle the journalist and social media tasks for Everything Geraldton.

Everything Bunbury

Since Everything Geraldton was launched in 2012, I have been exploring ways to bring its unique mix of news and community services to other regions. I wanted it to be authentic in each location, and felt I really needed to employ locals.

We knew the key to Everything Bunbury's success was going to be finding the right people there. We are delighted to have found Kelsie Miller, who now handles the journalism and social media for Everything Bunbury. She has a strong background in writing, and is a Bunbury local through and through. Kelsie has been doing a fantastic job since she started.

Everything Bunbury can be found in all the usual ways. If you are a regular to Bunbury, we hope you'll find the website, app and Facebook page extremely useful, and tell your friends and family who live there.

The Future

Stay tuned for the imminent launch of Everything Kalgoorlie-Boulder. We're working hard to have that ready soon. Sarah Betts who handles the journalism and social media there is also doing a great job, and we're very proud of the work she's been doing to date.

We've also added some more staff locally. Chris Dobson has joined and is helping out with social media responsibilities. And we will be looking for more staff soon, so keep an eye out if you're interested.

Thanks heaps to all the people who use Everything Geraldton. The value of your feedback, support, news stories and encouragement can not be overstated.
