As an amazing curtain raiser to Mental Health Awareness Week the Coral Coast crew have worked in partnership with the City of Geraldton and local businesses to come up with the “Amazing Race.”

The event, planned to run from 12pm-3pm on October 5 will be an Avivo-led community engagement event, based in and around Geraldton CBD.

Activities during the event will be based on identified factors that can impact mental health wellbeing, physical health, emotional health, spiritual wellbeing, creativity, and healthy relationships.

Each stop will be based around these themes. In addition, there will be a chalkboard activity. This will require teams to answer a question on that stop’s theme (physical, emotional, etc) and upload pictures of themselves and their answers to Facebook, tagging the Avivo Facebook page and with the hashtags #avivocoralcoast #mhwar and #physicalhealth/#emotionalhealth etc

There will also be chalkboards hidden around the city CBD with the Avivo logo, teams will need to find and upload to social media, with hashtags as well.

If you want to join in the fun you will need a team of 2-5 people and sign-ups will be between 9am and 11am Wednesday October 5th at the Geraldton Multi Purpose Facility near the Foreshore. There will be a prize ceremony and a free sausage sizzle for participants at 4pm.
