Police asking for help regarding sexual assault in Jurien

Geraldton Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance with information to assist with their investigation into an incident in Jurien Bay on Saturday, 13 December 2014.

A 36 year old woman was with friends at a hotel located on White Street in Jurien Bay. During the evening the woman spoke to a group of three men at the bar.

At one point during the evening the woman went to the bar to order a drink and one of the group of men made suggestive comments to her. The woman rejected his advances and went back to her friends.

A short time later, the woman was in the female toilets when the same man entered the toilets, locking the door before sexually assaulting her.

The offender is described as being 28 to 29 years of age, with an olive complexion, approximately 178cms tall, with a slim build.

He was wearing a white t-shirt with a picture on the front and dark coloured pants. He spoke with an Australian accent.

Police would like to speak with anyone who was in the hotel on the evening who may have seen the man or can assist in identifying him.
