Take a snap and show us why you love Gero!
/The City of Greater Geraldton is seeking local photography enthusiasts to capture their favourite moments in Geraldton and enter a competition using the hashtag
#whyilovegero .
The competition will be open via Instagram, Facebook and also the City of Greater Geraldton website for those without social media.
Local company Mitchell and Brown have kindly donated a $500 prize to the winner of the competition.
“We want to know the essence of why people living in Geraldton love Geraldton; this could be natural landscapes, events, public art, lifestyle, family – we want to see in an image why you love Geraldton,” said City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn.
Accompanying each image, the participant needs to write a description detailing the subject material of the image and why this depicts their love of Geraldton.
As part of the Christmas on the Terrace event, all images will be on projected onto a building for public viewing on Thursday 10 December from 6pm on Marine Terrace.
The lucky winner of the Mitchell and Brown voucher will also be announced at the event.
All ages and photography skills are encouraged to get involved and share their snaps of why they love Geraldton!
