Burglar gets tackled by victim

In the early hours of Saturday, 1 Nov an 18 year old male from Spalding entered a camper trailer at Sunset Beach Holiday Park. 

According to Police, the man took a pair of sunglasses and alcohol before being disturbed by the occupant of the camper trailer. 

The intruder ran toward the beach and was chased by the victim who managed to catch the intruder and tackle him to the ground.

The alcohol smashed on the ground and the intruder escaped. 

Police arrived shortly afterwards and managed to locate the suspect, who was arrested and taken to Geraldton Police Station. 

He was charged with aggravated burglary and stealing.
