Everything Geraldton's own Peter Brown was involved in something of a rescue earlier this evening when he spotted a kite surfer who appeared to be in trouble.

Peter says he was at the front of his Beresford home and saw a kite surfer on the water. He looked through his binoculars and noticed another surfer nearby who appeared to be in trouble.

He quickly went to his fathers boat at the Marina and went to the surfer, who was tangled up and had been in the water for some time.

Police were standing by, and the young man who was helped out of the water was extremely grateful for the assistance.
