Over the past 30 years, St Francis Xavier Catholic Primary School has taken pride in offering Catholic values and excellent curriculum for Kindergarten through to Year 6 children. Our story is embedded in the traditions of the Presentation Sisters and the Christian Brothers.
Our purpose is to provide a Catholic primary education for Catholic children of Geraldton, and in particular for the St Francis Xavier Cathedral Parish. We offer a welcoming environment wherein the development of each person and the education offered reflects gospel values.
Our learning goals are to -
- Ensure that student learning is data driven and caters for individual needs.
- Utilise a variety of effective resources and strategies.
- Make referrals to the intervention team.
- Acknowledge student progress and achievement.
- Strategically plan focus areas for school improvement.
- Provide professional opportunities for staff in the planned focus area.
- Establish reflective practices.
With Christ as our light & guide and children at the centre of our practice and teaching, we continue in the footsteps of those who have gone before us. We work to build community to forge links between the school, the parish, parents, and the local community and to support parents in their role as the prime educators of their children.
